SOUL SADNESS
There is an ever present sadness in my soul.
There is no single cause.
It is the combination and accumulation
of losses experienced, shattered dreams.
I don't dwell on it,
yet it surfaces often and unexpectedly.
I have to acknowledge it
when I become aware of its presence.
Honor the grief as it surfaces and embrace myself.
Maybe it is the remembrance of the connectedness
of our souls on the spirit plane
and the tragedy of our seperateness here on earth.
Knowing that the aloneness
and cold despair we feel here are so unnecessary.
The warmth, love and security we seek
are only an embrace away.
The challenge of soul-blending
without losing our sense of self.
The indescribable and unconsolable loss we feel
when we experience and then have to say goodbye
to even the slightest glimpse or hint
of that connectedness.
With great longing and anticipated joy,
I look forward to the the
ecstasy of reunion.

My dearest friend, Carl Michael Spero, I am looking forward with great longing and anticipated joy to the ecstasy of our reunion. Until then, may the angels hold you in their loving embrace.
